France is an EU member and uses the EU Common Customs Tariff. The French customs authority (Direction Générale des Douanes et Droits Indirects — DGDDI) operates DELTA (Dédouanement En Ligne par Télé-procédure Automatisée) as the national customs declaration platform integrated with EU systems.

French/EU Import Duty
EU Common Customs Tariff applies — same rates as Germany. Import VAT (TVA) at 20% standard (5.5% reduced for food, books). French customs also enforce strict phytosanitary and food safety at Channel Tunnel and La Manche crossings post-Brexit.
