Wood and Plant Quarantine Requirements

Furniture made from wood or with wooden packing material must comply with:

  • ISPM 15 — wooden packaging (pallets, crates) must be heat-treated and ISPM 15 marked
  • PQIS inspection at port if ISPM 15 marks are absent or suspect
  • CITES documentation if furniture uses rosewood, ebony, or other CITES-listed species (Appendix II/III)
  • Phytosanitary certificate may be required for solid wood furniture
